Camden Riversharks News Release
(September 15, 2010- CAMDEN, NJ) The Camden Riversharks win their third straight game at home and sweep the series against the York Revolution. Josh Brey earned his seventh win (7-8) this season while Eric Ackerman was charged with his third loss (5-3).
The Riversharks scored in five consecutive innings this evening. One run in the fourth and fifth, three in the sixth, and two runs in the seventh and eighth innings.
Raul Padron led the team with 4 RBI's, a single and double. Sean Smith finished 3 for 4 for the night with 3 runs scored. Juan Francia also finished 3 for 4 but drove in 3 runs to help the 'Sharks complete the series sweep and win 9-3. Brian Burgamy, Chris Walker, and Teuris Olivares, and Richie Robnett also tacked on a few runs to guarantee the victory.
Though York scored first in the third frame and added two runs in the fifth. Chuck Jeroloman hit a solo home run and Vince Harrison hit a RBI single. The visitors were scoreless for the remainder of the game as they could not keep up with the Riversharks hitting. The home team collected 16 hits on nine runs for the night.
