Buzzards Launch New Web Site

EL PASO, Texas – The El Paso Buzzards have announced the launching of their new and improved Internet web site, www.elpasobuzzards.com. The site, officially launched this week, features the season game schedule, booster club information, team photos and statistics, employment opportunities, sponsorship information, season ticket and individual game ticket prices, a layout and directions to "the Nest" and a comment feedback form.

Local web designer Cheryl Simmons, owner and CEO of Get Wired El Paso and The El Paso Sports Edition, created the web site and used her expertise to add great features and visual effects.

"My main focus as I developed this site was based on the feedback of Buzzards' fans who wanted more information and content from this site," said Simmons. "I hope it will be found to be dynamic and informative for even the hungriest of Buzzards' fans' tastes."

"This site sets a new standard for sports information and is arguably the best web site in professional sports," said Bill Davidson, owner and president of the El Paso Buzzards. "We hope our fans and visitors to the site come away with the feeling of excitement for what the Buzzards have to offer in terms of family entertainment and entertainment options in the El Paso area."

"This web site is absolutely first rate," said John Zang, vice president and director of operations. "It has been specifically designed in order to allow us to easily post updates and other information which we hope will keep our fans fully informed of all the Buzzards' happenings."

During the season, fans will be able to follow the games on the Internet, as statistics will be updated periodically throughout the games. As well, as new players are added to the Buzzards' roster, their photos, action shots and statistics will be updated to allow fans to get to know their Buzzards team members. Special Internet ticket offers, press releases, and information on special events will also be available during the season. This summer, fans can expect updates on player signings, season ticket specials, summer community event pictures, and information on the signing of the Buzzards' new head coach.

Get Wired El Paso (www.getwiredelpaso.com) and The El Paso Sports Edition (www.elpasosportsedition.com) is the fastest growing Internet service provider in El Paso. The sites have a broad form of interest content ranging from news and weather to the latest sports information from around the nation.

The El Paso Buzzards play in the professional Central Hockey League. The team finished their season with a 36-24-4 record and made it to the second round of the play-offs for the first time in four years.
