Buzz to host Fame tonight
November 24, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maywood Buzz News Release
Maywood, CA - It is building up as a cross town rival. The night before Notre Dame vs. USC, a week before UCLA-USC it is shaping up to be on of those. It is the 3-1 Hollywood Fame vs. the 2-0 Maywood Buzz. Some is calling the battle of the 'WOOD's". With the Buzz having the last 2 weeks off and the Fame coming off 3 wins in a row, this will be a good one.
"We have been practicing and hammer each other in practice. Tonight we get to battle finally against some different faces that are not one our team" stated Buzz Captain Darren Little. "This has been two weeks of hard work, reading about other teams, watching other teams, we get to lace them up and take the Fame. The Fame GM and myself have been having fun with this, we going to win, you going to get smashed...we both have said it all. Now we get to watch our two teams duke it out, toe to toe, mono-e-mono" added Buzz Heads Coach & GM, Burrel Lee III.
Tip off is at 8pm and will be played at The MAC (The Maywood Activities Center), located at 4801 East 58th Street, Maywood, CA 90270. Phone is 323.562.5020. All seats are $10.00 tonight.
