December 3, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maywood Buzz News Release
Maywood, CA. The ABA Maywood Buzz heads to Singapore for a weekend series versus the Beijing Aoshen Olympian as part of a season-long initiative that matches US and Canada teams against the famous Chinese team.
"We are very excited to be a part of this historic series," stated Buzz GM Burrel Lee III. "It is an honor to have been selected as the first US team following Quebec City's visit this past weekend. And we will do our best to represent the country and the ABA well."
The series opened this past weekend with the two teams, the Quebec City Kebs and the Olympian, splitting the two game series.
"We are working diligently with the Olympians to make the games available via TV worldwide," stated Charles Key, ABA VP of Media/Marketing. "We believe all of the elements have been put in place and that the series starting with the Maywood Buzz' games will be available. We will be making an official announcement shortly."
