Regina Pats News Release

Regina, Saskatchewan - It has been a busy week for Regina Pats alumni as a trio of former players signed new NHL contracts.

Goaltender Josh Harding signed a three year extension with the Minnesota Wild. After being traded to the San Jose Sharks by the Detroit Red Wings, defenceman Brad Stuart signed with the Sharks. Finally, Barret Jackman is set to enter his tenth season guarding the St. Louis Blues' blue-line after re-signing with the club.

The NHL handed out its annual awards last night in Las Vegas where former Pat Jordan Eberle was a nominee for the Lady Byng Trophy.

Jordan didn't take home the award, but had a strong sophomore season with Edmonton, tallying 34 goals and 42 assists.

The last stop of the week is Pittsburgh for the NHL Entry Draft. Current Pats Chandler Stephenson (ranked 33rd on CSS) Dominik Volek (163rd) and Jack Rodewald hope to have their names called by an NHL team this weekend. Round one goes Friday night with rounds two through seven following on Saturday.

A pair of Pat prospects are also in the middle of Draft conversations. Brady Skjei (USA U-18, 15th CSS) and Rhett Holland (AJHL-Okotoks, 167th CSS) could both join NHL organizations over the weekend.

Pats GM Chad Lang will be in Pittsburgh this weekend and can be reached on his cell for comment.

Pats 2012/13 Season Tickets are now on sale. For more information contact the Pats office at 522-5604 or go to www.reginapats.com.
