
Busy Mardi Gras, Valentine Week For Surge

Four Score: Mardi Gras happens to fall on Abraham Lincoln's birthday this year. Lincoln started his most famous speech with the words four score and seven years ago...and the Surge will open a four game week beginning on his birthday. Tuesday the Surge will play in Pensacola at 6:05 p.m. (note the earlier start time). On Thursday the Surge will be hosting the Mississippi RiverKings in a Valentine's contest that begins at 7:05 p.m. On Friday the Surge will host Huntsville at 7:05. This four game week will conclude on Sunday with a 2:05 p.m. game at Huntsville.
Tough Stretch: The Surge lost four games last week, 3-0 and 2-0 to Louisiana; and 4-2 and 6-1 to Augusta. The 2-0 and 4-2 losses featured Louisiana and Augusta scoring empty net goals in the closing seconds.
