Bulls Weekly - Bulls Remain Alive in Playoff Fight in South

AMARILLO, TX - Alive and kicking...

That best describes the Amarillo Bulls as they remain alive in the hunt for a South Division Playoff Spot with just two weekends remaining in the North American Hockey League regular season. The Bulls are on the road this Friday and Saturday to face the Topeka RoadRunners at Kansas Expo Center Landon Arena at 7 pm.

PLAYOFF UPDATE: The Amarillo Bulls trail the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees by just two points for the sixth and final playoff spot in the South Division with five games remaining. The Bulls are also just three points back of fifth place Wenatchee Wild.

BULLS IN THE COMMUNITY: Players will be at the Discovery Center this afternoon from 1 to 4 pm as part of a Spring Break event. Children will have a chance to shoot into the goal and win various prizes including tickets to Tuesday's game.

FRIDAY, MAR. 20 & SATURDAY, Mar. 21 @ TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS, 7 PM : It's the final regular season meetings between the Amarillo Bulls and the Topeka RoadRunners. The Bulls have won four of their last five, while the RoadRunners have dropped three of their last four.

BROADCAST SCHEDULE: Fans can tune into the action live on CBS Sports Radio 1440-KPUR or online at www.amarillobulls.com and on PPV courtesy of Fast Hockey, beginning with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show at 6:40 pm Friday and Saturday night. Amarillo Bulls Hockey presented by Westgate Mall follows at 7 pm.

FINAL REGULAR SEASON HOME GAME:

TUESDAY, MAR. 24 WICHITA FALLS WILDCATS @ AMARILLO BULLS: It's the final regular season home game next Tuesday, Mar. 24 when the Bulls host their closest rival the Wichita Falls Wildcats at 7 pm. Community Options and Liberty Tax Service are co-sponsoring the night.

WEEKEND REWIND:

AMARILLO BULLS 5 @ WICHITA FALLS WILDCATS 4: Charlie Combs scored twice including the game winner as the Bulls held off a late surge by the Cats. Luke Novak, Jesper Synnelius, and AJ Duggan had the other Amarillo markers. Jacob Weatherly posted the win in goal. The game was tied 2-2 after the first and 3-3 after the second. The Bulls scored twice in the first three minutes of third period to snap the tie and went on to victory.

WENATCHEE WILD 2 @ AMARILLO BULLS 3: Tristan Rostagno and Cody Gylling rallied the Amarillo Bulls from a 2-1 third period deficit. It was Gylling's second goal of the game on the power play that tied the game 2-2 and then a minute later Rostagno fired the winner on a delayed penalty call. Kyle Hartman began the Bulls comeback with a goal early in the second period as Wenatchee built a 2-0 lead. Goaltender Anton Martinsson won his fourth game in a row.

WENATCHEE WILD 5 @ AMARILLO BULLS 2: The Wenatchee Wild scored three times in a 3:30 minute span and went on to beat the Bulls on home ice and get a split. George Mika and Elijiah Barriga tallied for the Bulls in the game Anton Martinsson took the loss in goal.
