
Bulls Stay Busy In Community On Weekend Off

AMARILLO, TX - Amarillo Bulls players were busy giving back to the community on their rare weekend off-the-ice in the North American Hockey League.
On Saturday afternoon, Bulls players helped the local Humane Society with showcasing dogs up for adoption at Westgate Mall. Four dogs that were at the location had new homes found for them.
Later that evening, Bulls hosted their first 'Tip A Waiter' event at LaFrontera Restaurant located on South Arthur Street. Bulls' players raised nearly $400 for the SPCA.
The Bulls' Hockey For Health program was active teaching students at Oakdale Elementary School and Johnny Allen School. The Hockey For Health Program is designed to teach children some basic hockey skills as well as the importance of staying active and eating healthy.
RADIO SHOW TONIGHT AT HOOTERS: The Amarillo Bulls Radio Show is set tonight for Hooters from 6 pm to 7 pm. Join host Denis J. Puska and Assistant Coach Rocky Russo for a preview of the three games set for this week. Head Coach Dennis Williams will be on the program from Ann Arbor, Michigan talking about the 2nd NAHL Top Prospects Tournament.
UPCOMING GAMES: It's back to work for the Amarillo Bulls with three games in three nights. On Thursday, the Bulls visit the New Mexico Mustangs at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico at 7:30 pm Mountain, 8:30 pm, Central.
The Bulls then return to home ice for back-to-back games against the Corpus Christi IceRays on Friday and Saturday night at 7 pm.
UPCOMING PROMOTIONS: There is plenty going on in the Bull Pen at the Amarillo Civic Center this Friday and Saturday. On Friday, it's Scout Night as area Troops and Packs have been invited out to attend the game as a group. The Bulls will be wearing their special Make-A-Wish Jerseys on Saturday night. An auction of those jerseys will be held immediately after the game in The Coral. Everyone is welcome.
BROADCAST SCHEDULE: All three of this weekend's games can be heard live on ESPN1440 and www.amarillobulls.com. On Thursday night when Amarillo visits New Mexico, the Bulls Warm Up Show Presented by Wayland Baptist University begins at 8:15 pm, central. The puck drop follows at 8:30 pm central. On Friday and Saturday, pre-game show coverage begins at 6:45 pm followed at 7 pm by the face-off.
BULLS AT TOP PROPSECTS: Team South got off to a terrific start at the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament on Sunday with a 4-1 triumph over Team North. Amarillo Bulls defenseman Derek Hills and forward Cody Freeman were in the line-up for Team South. Former Bulls goaltender Steve Bolton turned aside 16 of 17 shots he faced.
Bulls Radio Show Is Live Tonight From Hooters
AMARILLO, TX - There are plenty of guests lined up tonight (Monday) for the Amarillo Bulls Radio Show live from Hooters Restaurant from 6 pm to 7 pm.
Join host Denis J. Puska as he visits with Head Coach Dennis Williams who will be reporting from Ann Arbor, Michigan and the 2nd North American Hockey League Top Prospects Tournament. On location at Hooters, Bulls Assistant Coach Rocky Russo will also talk about three big games this week in New Mexico and then home for two versus Corpus Christi IceRays.
In the player profile segment, fans will get a chance to meet newest Bulls' goaltender Gregg Gruehl, and hear more about forward Michael Erickson's winning goal against Texas.
Bulls General Manager Chris Laurie will also be part of the Amarillo Bulls Radio Show to talk about some exciting promotions that are planned for the two home games.
