
Bulls Return to Action on Wednesday

AMARILLO, TX - After a week off, the Amarillo Bulls return to action this Wednesday night when they host the Wichita Falls Wildcats at 7 pm. It is the first of three big games for the Bulls this week which trail the Texas Tornado by three points for first place in the South Division.
UPCOMING GAMES: Three games in four nights highlight a busy week for the Bulls. On Wednesday night, the Bulls host the Wichita Falls Wildcats at 7 pm. It's then back on the road for the Bulls as they head to Topeka to face the RoadRunners on Friday and Saturday night. The New Years Eve game has a special start time of 6 pm, while Saturday's game is at the normal 7 o'clock start.
UPCOMING PROMOTIONS: There are plenty of activities going on at the Amarillo Civic Center on Wednesday night. It's Amarillo Hockey Legacy Night as we honor former Amarillo Wranglers, Rattlers and Gorillas players from the past. Fans are encouraged to help support the High Plains Food Bank by bringing two Non-Perishable Food Items to the Bulls office and receive a Buy One-Get One Free Coupon. It's also $1 hotdog night.
BROADCAST SCHEDULE: Fans can tune into all three games this week on the official flag ship station, ESPN1440. Wednesday's game begins with The Bulls Warm Up Show Presented by Wayland Baptist University at 6:45 pm. Please take note that Friday's game in Topeka starts with pre-game show coverage at 5:45 pm. Saturday's game kicks off at the normal pre-game show time of 6:45 pm. Bulls offer fans a chance to listen to the audio for free online at www.amarillobulls.com fueled by Sportsjuice. The games are also available on Pay-Per-View courtesy of Fast Hockey and a high speed internet connection is required in order to view the game.

BULLS STATS PACK:
SHUTOUT NUMBERS: The Amarillo Bulls posted their third shutout of the season on December 17 when they beat Texas 1-0. It was the second time this season that the Bulls have won a game 1-0 and the second straight over the Tornado. The other Bulls shutout win was a 5-0 decision over the New Mexico Mustangs.
DECEMBER CLOSING QUICK: There are just two games remaining in the month of December for the Amarillo Bulls who are 4-0-1 thus far. Cody Freeman leads the team with four goals and three assists for seven points. All but five skaters have earned at least one point during the month. Goaltenders Nikifor Szczerba and Steve Bolton each have two wins.
STATS ETC: The Amarillo Bulls have surrendered 71 goals against which ranks third in the NAHL behind the Bismarck Bobcats and the Janesville Jets. It is interesting to note that at the Christmas Break, the Bulls have played the fewest games of any team in the league at 26. Three teams in the Central Division have played 27 games.
BULLS REWIND:
DECEMBER 17 - AMARILLO BULLS 1 - TEXAS TORNADO 0: The Amarillo Bulls fired over 40 shots on goal but managed to beat goaltender Jimmy Kruger just once and it was enough in their victory over the Tornado. Cody Freeman netted the only goal in the third period. Nikifor Szczerba stopped all 30 shots he faced for his third shutout of the season.
