
Bulls Prepare for Home and Home Series with Texas Tornado

AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Bulls will put their first-place 7-1-1 North American Hockey League South Division record to the test with a home-and-home series against the Texas Tornado this weekend.
The two teams will first battle in Frisco, Texas tomorrow (Friday) night at 7:30 pm, and then back in Amarillo on Saturday at 7 pm.
The Bulls have won five of their last six games including four straight on home ice, while the Tornado have recovered well with back to back wins over the Topeka Road Runners after a rough start to the season.
There will be a couple of player match-ups to watch during the two game series. Up front, the NAHL's leading point getter Rock Einersen of the Tornado (17 points) faces Bulls' duo of Cody Freeman and Zack Smoot (each with 11 points). On defense, Amarillo's Derek Hills will go up against Ralphs Freibergs of the Tornado. The two rearguards are among the leaders in the NAHL in a variety of different categories.
The Bulls fourth best penalty killing will also be in for a battle as they go up against the Texas power play unit that is 7th overall. Amarillo has killed off 25 of its last 26 penalties and has not allowed a goal in nearly three games.
Fans can tune into all of the action of Friday's game on ESPN1440 beginning with The Warm Up Show Presented By Wayland Baptist University at 7:15 pm. Denis J. On Saturday night when the Tornado visit Amarillo in the return match, it will mark the debut of the Bulls' third jerseys.
