Monsters End Two-Game Series Against Kenai with a Bang

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Monsters completed a two-game stint against the Kenai River Brown Bears last night, defeating Kenai in a come-from-behind victory by a final score of 4 to 3. The Monsters' highlights of the game included the team killing all 15 Kenai River power plays, scoring 3 third period goals including two goals 49 seconds apart, and the Monsters earning 91 minutes in penalties including 4 player ejections.

"Anytime you can go .500 on the road is an accomplishment," explains GM/Head Coach Eric Ballard. "I am proud of our team for coming out and getting a split on this road trip. It was a tough, hard-fought win."

Fresno finished the series with a 1-1 record and two additional points in the standings. Fresno is 5th in the West Division of the North American Hockey League. The Monsters play division-leader Fairbanks Ice Dogs this Friday and Saturday at 8:30PM P.S.T. The games will be broadcast live on nahl.fasthockey.com.

The Fresno Monsters' home opener is on Friday, October 22nd at 7:35pm against the Wenatchee Wild. Opening Night is also Pack the House night and all seats are just $7.
