Bulls Fall in Overtime Effort to Pilots

Amarillo, TX - Despite two tying goals, the Amarillo Bulls fell in overtime, 3-2, to the Topeka Pilots on Saturday night.

Topeka stunned the Amarillo faithful just 26 second into the game as Luc Salem found the back of the net for the eighth time this season.

Amarillo would find their answer to the early goal, tying the game when Nick Trela tucked a wraparound chance into the back of the net for his 14th of the season. Late in the frame, Topeka would regain the lead after a took advantage of a Bulls turnover for his fifth of the season.

For the second night in a row, Noah Carlin slapped a tying goal into the back of the net with just over six minutes to play in regulation, forcing the game into overtime.

Into the overtime period, with the Bulls shorthanded, Salem would sweep his second goal of the game into the back of the net, securing the victory for Topeka.

With the loss, the Bulls are now 39-8-2-3 with 83 points and are tied with the Lone Star Brahmas atop the South Division standings.

The Bulls will take to the road on Friday, March 6, to take on the Kenai River Brown Bears. Mark Shelley will broadcast the game from the Spicy Mike's Bar-B-Q Broadcast Booth, and the action will begin at 10:30PM CST on Mixlr.com and Hockey TV.
