Belleville Bulls News Release
BELLEVILLE, ON - The Belleville Bulls announced on Saturday that they've raised a total of $29,087.51 to be donated to the Belleville General Hospital as a result of the Sticks and Stones Event.
On February 11th when the Bulls defeated the Guelph Storm 3-1, the Bulls were able to auction off their limited edition hospital themed jerseys for a grand total of $25,757.91 with Luke Judson's number 14 being the highest sold uniform at just over $4000.00.
In addition to the jersey auction, the Bulls were also able to raise funds through a prize raffle that brought in $1,246.75 and a pass-the-bucket where fans donated $3,500.00. The Bulls would like to extend a special thanks to Loyalist College Sports Marketing students and the event's gamenight sponsor RONA Belleville.
Funds from a chuck-a-puck and autographed merchandise also helped to contribute to the grand total.
Belleville General Hospital is now one step closer to being able to purchase a Holmium Laser, a technological innovation that eliminates kidney stones.
"We're an organization that wants to be integrated into our community," said Bulls Manager of Marketing Kim Grimes. "We're happy that we can contribute to such a worthy and sometimes overlooked cause."
The Bulls organization would like to thank all who contributed to the cause and all of the fans for their generous donations.
