ODESSA, TX - The Amarillo Bulls finished off the four-game, eight-day road trip in fine fashion on Saturday night at Ector County Coliseum in Odessa, TX.

Six goals over the final 40 minutes powered the Amarillo Bulls to a 7-0 drubbing of the Odessa Jackalopes for their 21st straight win over their West Texas Opponents, and 39th overall.

Blake Roubos paced the Bulls with two goals and an assist, while single goals came off the sticks of Tyler Deresky, Clint Carlisle, Mike Davis, Gage Christianson and Brady Ferguson. Goaltender Collin Delia posted his third shutout of the season, with all three coming versus Odessa.

After falling in their first game of the road trip, the Bulls collected three straight wins, outscoring their opponents 18-2. The Bulls were able to increase their South Division lead to 14 points over second place Topeka which lost late to Wichita Falls 4-3.

In West Texas, the Amarillo Bulls got off to a fast start with 11 shots in the first eight minutes of the game but were unrewarded for their chances. Blake Roubos gave the Bulls a 1-0 lead when his wrist shot beat Erick Majerle. Tyler Deresky and TJ Sherman notched assists on the play at the 15:24 mark. The Bulls outshot the Jackalopes 15-7.

It was a sluggish start to the second for the Bulls as they allowed the Jackalopes to hang around for a while. Brady Ferguson gave the Bulls a 2-0 lead on the power play when his shot eluded goaltender Majerle. The Bulls offense finally got rolling with two goals less than three minutes apart. Tyler Deresky scored his third goal in his last three games from Blake Roubos at 12:47 and later Clint Carlisle netted a power play marker from Hampus Gustafsson and Tyler Deresky at 15:42. The shots favored Amarillo 13-5 in the second period.

Blake Roubos increased the Bulls lead to 5-0 to start the third period from John Rey and Clint Carlisle. Nearly six minutes later, Gage Christianson was allowed to shoot from the deep slot and score from Mike Davis. Then Davis got into the act when he scored shorthanded in the final two minutes. It was the Bulls league leading 11h shorthanded goal of the season.

Goaltender Delia made some key saves early in the game to keep his team in front. He stopped all 21 shots he faced.

The Amarillo Bulls outshot the Odessa Jackalopes 42-21 including 17-8 in the third period. The teams combined for seven power plays with the Bulls going 2 for 5.

The Amarillo Bulls are back on ice for their final four games on home ice during the regular season. It starts with two versus the Topeka RoadRunners next Friday and Saturday at 7 pm at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center.
