Amarillo Bulls News Release
BULLSTOWN, TEXAS - On the heels of the Amarillo Bulls' historic 10th anniversary season home-opening games last weekend, the club has announced expanded new roles for key team executives as the organization moves to further its commitment to excellence on and off the ice.
Effective immediately, Austin Sutter will serve as Director of Operations and Community Relations and Lois Offerman has been named Director of Sales and Business Development. Both appointments will enable the North American Hockey League's defending South Division champions to further strengthen its relationship with fans, the local business community and the Amarillo area at large.
Longtime Bulls General Manager Rick Matchett has also announced he is leaving the club to pursue other opportunities. "It has been an amazing six years working for the Bulls organization and being part of the 2013 National Championship, as well as being able to send players on to the next level of college hockey," said Matchett. "I want to thank my staff for all the hard work they have done for the community and nonprofits in Amarillo. I want to thank all of the season ticket holders, billet families and sponsors for helping make the Amarillo Bulls the community leader that the organization is."
The Bulls look to build upon the organizational successes achieved throughout Matchett's term.
"We can't thank Rick enough for the passion he has always brought to Bulls hockey and wish him the best in his future endeavors," said F&S Management Vice President Tyler Shaffar. "Rick will always be a member of the Bulls family."
Sutter, celebrating his ninth season with the Bulls, has worked as Program Director for the Amarillo Youth Hockey Association and formerly served as a player and coach of the Amarillo Gorillas of the now-defunct Central Hockey League. Offerman, an experienced business sales professional, is an active member of several Amarillo charities and is in her first season with the Bulls.
The Bulls return home to the Amarillo Civic Center's Budweiser Bull Pen for a series of games versus cross-state rival Lone Star Brahmas on October 11 and 12. For tickets and information, go to www.amarillobulls.com.
