Bulls Announce Complete NAHL South Division Semi-Final Series Schedule
AMARILLO, TX - The Road to the Robertson Cup National Championship faces off in the Texas Panhandle this coming weekend as the Amarillo Bulls make their return to the post season for first time since the 2013-14 season.
The Bulls will host the Corpus Christi IceRays in the South Division Semi-Final Series. The two teams met once in the post season back in 2012-13 with the Bulls taking the series in four games en route to the National Title.
The Bulls defeated the Odessa Jackalopes on Saturday night 7-2 to post their 47th win of the season which ties a franchise record set in back-to-back seasons of 2011-12 and 2012-13. Forward Logan Jenuwine scored the final goal of the regular season for the Bulls giving him a record breaking 60 and the NAHL scoring title.
The Corpus Christi IceRays needed the final weekend of the regular season to secure their spot and blanked the Topeka Pilots 1-0 on Friday night on home ice at American Bank Center.
The opening game of the South Division Semi-Final Series is set for this Friday, Apr. 12 at 7 pm at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. Doors will open at 5:30 pm so fans can avoid the Paid Parking. The game is sponsored by Amarillo Civic Center Complex, and the first 1,000 fans receive a free rally towel and the first 200 fans get a free hotdogs.
Game two of the Best-of-Five Series is set for Saturday, Apr. 13 at a special start time of 6 pm. The first 500 fans receive a Bulls team poster.
The series will then shift to South Texas and American Bank Center for Game three on Thursday, Apr. 18 at 7:05 pm. If a fourth game is necessary it will take place on Friday, Apr. 19 also at 7:05 pm. Should the series go the limit of five games, then that contest would take place on Monday, Apr. 22 at 7:05 pm.
The Bulls will hold playoff rallies all this week to get fans excited about the return to the Robertson Cup Playoffs. The rallies begin tomorrow (Monday) night at 6 pm at J's Bar and Grill located on Soncy Road during the Amarillo Bulls Radio Show which airs live from that location.
On Tuesday, fans can drop by Sonic on Hillside and Soncy for the second playoff rally from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. Later that night the Bulls will hold a playoff ticket pick up party for Season Ticket holders from 6 to 8 pm at their offices located at 301 South Polk in the Amarillo Building.
On Wednesday the Bulls playoff rally shifts to Brown Automotive Group on Georgia from 4:30 to 5:30 pm and then conclude on Thursday at Pop Stop on Western from 4:30 to 6 pm.
During the rallies, fans can come by and meet the Bulls players and register to win playoff tickets.
