San Francisco Bulls News Release

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today the team has agreed to terms with defensemen Scott Langdon and Dylan King, and forward Kris Belan. These are the first three players to agree to terms for the 2013-14 season.

"I'm excited to start shaping this season's roster with some important core members from last season," said Bulls President and Head Coach Pat Curcio. "Scott grew to be our leader. He showed his physical play and leadership every game. Dylan became a workhorse on defense as the season progressed. His defensive style proved to be invaluable. Kris is an elite power forward in the ECHL, which was evident in his call-up to Manchester. We know Kris will bring leadership, physical play and offense to the Bulls' forwards this year."

Langdon, 28, served as the Bulls' captain to end the 2012-13 season and enters his sixth season of professional hockey. The 6-foot, 3-inch, 215-pound, Ancaster, Ontario native led the Bulls with 150 penalty minutes and a +6 rating. In 67 games with the Bulls, Langdon totaled 12 points (1 goal, 11 assists). He was named the team's Top Defenseman and won the Fan Favorite Award. In 281 career professional games in the American Hockey League (AHL), ECHL and Central Hockey League (CHL), the product of Niagara University recorded 63 points (12 goals, 51 assists) and 581 penalty minutes.

"It's a great honor to get the call back to go to San Francisco," said Langdon. "I'm looking forward to coming back to where there are great fans and really good friends of mine. I'm happy to see Kinger and Bellsy already coming back as well. We're looking to improve as an organization and as a team. I'm preparing for what I'm hoping will be the best year of hockey in my career. I can't wait to get back."

King, 23, returns to the Bulls for his third year in professional hockey. The 6-foot, 1-inch, 192-pound, Thessalon, Ontario native finished with 11 points (2 goals, 9 assists) and 99 penalty minutes in 69 games with the Bulls in 2012-13. He was named the team's Most Improved Player in 2012-13. In 125 professional games between the AHL, ECHL and CHL, King produced 20 points (6 goals, 14 assists) and 160 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, King served as an alternate captain for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

"I'm excited to be returning to the Bulls organization for another season," said King. "San Francisco is a great city and the fans are awesome and very supportive. Pat and his staff do everything possible to make this team a class act and I can't wait to wear the Bulls jersey for a second season."

Belan, 26, played in his first full professional season with the Bulls in 2012-13. He ranked second on the team with 141 penalty minutes and compiled 21 points (8 goals, 13 assists) in 58 games. The 6-foot, 2-inch, 200-pound, Florence, Ontario native was named the Bulls' Top Rookie in 2012-13. Belan also received a call-up to the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL, recording one assist and seven penalty minutes in eight games. He finished second on the team with four points in five playoff games. Belan played in 13 games with the Toledo Walleye in 2011-12, following his five-year career at the University of Guelph. He also played three seasons in the OHL before entering college.

"I'm looking forward to getting back in the Bay Area and putting the Bulls uniform on for a second season," said Belan. "It should be exciting to move forward with the group of guys we have here, build upon the successes of last season, and chase the Kelly Cup."
