Bulls Acquire Alex Aleardi from Kitchener

The Belleville Bulls have acquired forward Alex Aleardi from the Kitchener Rangers along with the Rangers' fifth round pick in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. In exchange, the Bulls send veteran forward Matt Tipoff and their first round pick in the 2010 CHL Import Draft to Kitchener.

Aleardi is in his second OHL season and has recorded one goal and eight assists along with 18 penalty minutes in 22 games played with the Rangers this season. Last season with Kitchener, he scored five times while adding six assists in 65 games played. The Farmington Hills, Michigan native was selected by the Rangers in the third round of the 2008 OHL Priority Selection.

"Alex possesses a tremendous amount skill and speed and is anxious for an opportunity in our young lineup" commented Bulls General Manager and Head Coach George Burnett.

Tipoff is in his fourth OHL season and has recorded 10 goals and 19 assists in 23 games played with the Bulls this year. Last season, in 68 games played Tipoff scored 13 times while adding 27 assists.
