Bullfrogs Sign Four Sophomores in Fischer, Pratt, Koziol and Jacobson

Green Bay, Wis. - The Green Bay Bullfrogs have announced the signings of right-handed sophomores Corey Fischer from Madison College, Grayson Pratt of St. Edward's University, Ryan Koziol from Gulf Coast State College, and sophomore outfield Paul Jacobson from South Dakota State University.
Fischer, a 6'0, 185-pound Denmark, Wisconsin native joins the Bullfrogs after two productive seasons with the Wolfpack. He currently holds a 7-1 record with a 2.68 ERA and 1.03 WHIP, striking out twenty-eight batters while walking just eleven in 43.2 innings of work. The right-hander has won each of his past six starts, allowing just three earned runs since March 19. Fischer was one of three Wolfpack to receive all-conference first team honors. The team finished the regular season with a 36-14 record and won 2014 North Central Community College Conference. Fischer pitched in the team's first postseason game, earning the win after tossing six strong innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits while striking out five.
Pratt, a 6'2, 195-pound right-hander from Albuquerque, New Mexico signed with the Bullfrogs after two seasons with the Hilltoppers. Pratt has seen a large increase in opportunities during his sophomore season, throwing 17.2 innings with a 1.53 ERA, picking up two saves while striking out eighteen and walking just five.
Koziol, listed at 6'3, 205 pounds, was named the top two-way prospect in Illinois for the 2012 recruiting class. He spent his first year of eligibility at the University of Arizona, where he played solely a positional player. In 40 games, Koziol carried a .348 on-base percentage as a Wildcat. He transferred to Gulf Coast State College following the season.
At Gulf Coast State College, Koziol was used a two-way player and posted impressive stats both offensively and on the mound. In 54 games, he hit .339 with 28 RBI and 45 runs scored, with an overall slash line of .338/.436/.429. On the mound, Koziol was used as the closer, pitching twenty-five innings and posting a 3.24 ERA and 0.96 WHIP. He struck out eighteen batters while walking just two and earned eleven saves. Koziol is set to transfer and play at Illinois State in 2015.
Jacobson is a 6'1, 190-pound outfielder that has spent the past two seasons with the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Before his time at South Dakota State, Jacobson was a star athlete at Bishop Heelan High School in Sioux City, Iowa. He was named first-team Class 3A all-state in 2012, capping off a career in which he set school records for batting average, .447, and RBI's, 136.
He was also a first-team all-state quarterback, setting school records for passing touchdowns in a single game and a single season, played on two state championship basketball teams, competed at the state track and field meet; all while excelling in the classroom as an honors student.
Jacobson has seen success with the Jackrabbits, starting in the outfield and recording a slash line of .279/.346/.336 his freshman year and .293/.371/.415 his sophomore year.
