Eau Claire, Wis. - Dallas Baptist sophomore Brandon Koch, a right-handed relief pitcher, will no longer come to Eau Claire after being announced as a 2014 signee on March 25.
Instead, he will be pursuing one of the top honors for a collegiate baseball player. The 6-foot-1 inch, 195-pounder earned an invitation to the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp June 19-29 in Cary, N. Car.
As of Monday, Koch is 6-0 with a sizzling 0.54 Earned Run Average. He has 58 strikeouts in just 33.1 innings of work and eight saves for the Patriots.
The Express begin their 10th season of play in the Northwoods League on Tuesday, May 27 versus the Lakeshore Chinooks. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30. Season tickets, voucher packs and single-game tickets are on sale now.
