
Bullfrogs Bury Woodchucks on Opening Day

The Green Bay Bullfrogs hosted the Wisconsin Woodchucks and came away with a 7-1 victory on Opening Day.
Jared Tobey got the start on the mound for the Bullfrogs and tossed six Innings allowing just five hits and one run during his time on the mound. Gordon Cardenas gets the loss on the night for the Woodchucks.
Alex Pener got things going for the Bullfrogs early sending a homer over the right field wall and giving the Frogs a 2-0 early lead they would go later in the inning to score another. Green Bay would never look as the Bullfrogs would add two more in the second and another in the third. They went into the fifth leading 5-0, the Woodchucks would post a run in the fifth but it wasn't enough as the Bullfrogs would add two more throughout the contest.
Green Bay advances to 1-0 on the year after the 7-1 victory and the Woodchucks drop to 0-1 on the season. The Bullfrogs will travel to Wau Sau tomorrow for a 6:35 rematch.
The Bullfrogs will be on the road tomorrow Wednesday, May 31 at 6:35 p.. against the Wisconsin Woodchucks. The next home game will be on June 4th versus the Madison Mallards.
