The Manitoba Moose forced a Game #7 in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals as they defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-3 at Copps Coliseum on Thursday night. The best-of-seven series is tied 3-3. Game #7, the deciding game of the series, will take place at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton on Sunday, May 11th at 1:00 p.m.
The Bulldogs opened the game with two first period goals from Jason Ward and Tony Salmelainen. In the second period Manitoba's Fedor Fedorov scored at the 2:30 mark. Hamilton's Sylvain Blouin would respond with a goal just 1:25 later. The Moose then scored three unanswered goals to win the game with markers from Justin Kurtz, Mikko Jokela and Pat Kavanagh.
In goal the Bulldogs Eric Fichaud made 19 saves on 23 shots. Tyler Moss stopped 32 shots for Manitoba.
On special teams the Bulldogs were 0 for 4 with the man-advantage, while the Moose converted on one of their six power play opportunities.

Dog Notes: Goals scored by Salmelainen and Blouin were their first of the 2003 Calder Cup Playoffs, respectively ...
