Bulldogs Can't Hold Off Senators' Charge

The Binghamton Senators scored four unanswered goals in the third period as they defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 6-4 in Game #3 of the AHL Eastern Conference Finals at the Broome County Veteran Memorial Arena in Binghamton on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.
Scoring goals for the Bulldogs in Game #3 were Jason Ward, Michael Ryder, Marcel Hossa and Jarret Stoll. Earning mult-point games for the Bulldogs were Hossa (1g,2a), Stoll (1g,1a) and Ryder (1g,1a).
Leading the way offensively for Binghamton were Brad Smyth and Bob Wren, who each scored two goals, respectively. Alexandre Giroux and Radim Bicanek also scored for the Senators.
Eric Fichaud made 22 saves for the Bulldogs before being replaced by Ty Conklin at the 7:40 mark of the third period. Conklin stopped all seven of the shots he faced. Cayuga native and Senators goaltender Ray Emery picked up the win making 29 saves.
On special teams the Bulldogs were 0 for 2 on the power play. Binghamton scored two goals while having a two-man advantage.
The Bulldogs will take on the Senators tomorrow night in Game #4 of the AHL Eastern Conference Finals at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
