Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Join the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs Friday night at 7:05 pm for another important matchup with the rival Mississippi RiverKings at CenturyTel Center, presented by International Used Truck Center of Shreveport. The game will also feature our "Teaming Up for Warmth" Coat Drive to help local people in need this winter.

Every game is crucial in the tight Central Hockey League standings, where the Mudbugs are currently four points behind their longtime rivals from Southaven, Mississippi for fourth place in the Northern Conference. The 'Bugs have won three of four meetings with the RiverKings so far this season, with six more games yet to come between the teams. After Friday's game in Bossier City, both clubs will travel to Mississippi to face one another again Saturday night at the DeSoto Civic Center.

Mudbugs fans are also asked to bring a new or used coat with them to the game to donate to our "Teaming Up for Warmth" Coat Drive. With cold winter weather arriving in the Ark-La-Tex lately, the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission and the Salvation Army are in need of donations to help less fortunate members of our community stay warm this winter. For more information on these two charity organizations, visit www.sbrescuemission.com and www.salvationarmyusa.org.
