'Bugs To Host Bees Twice This Weekend

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Get ready for a great weekend of hockey at the CenturyTel Center as your Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs play host to the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees Friday and Saturday night at 7:05! The Mudbugs are looking to solidify their playoff positioning during the stretch run, so don't miss out on two great games this weekend!
Friday is our "Puck 'N Prayers" night, presented by Navistar International Used Truck Center. Join the Mudbugs in welcoming dozens of church groups who will be in attendance from all over the Ark-La-Tex. Lifeway Christian Stores will also be holding a food drive on the concourse to collect donations of non-perishable food items.
Tickets to Friday night's game will not only get you an entertaining night of hockey, but also a special concert with Christian recording artist Shana Strange. A native of East Texas, Strange is an up-and-coming artist who has already had three singles reach the Top 20 on the Christian charts. Shana will sing the national anthem and then perform a concert for the crowd following Friday's game!
Saturday night the Mudbugs are going Hollywood against the Killer Bees for our "Hollywood Night" festivities. With the Academy Awards coming up on Sunday, the 'Bugs are getting in the spirit with a movie-themed night on Saturday, when our game entertainment will be a cinematic celebration!
The Mudbugs are very close to clinching a spot in the 2010 CHL playoffs with only nine games left in the regular season. The 'Bugs have won their last two games against the Killer Bees by a combined score of 13-3, but Rio Grande Valley is fighting to get back in the Southern Conference playoff picture as the regular season winds down. This weekend's games will close out the season series in this newborn rivalry between the 'Bugs and Bees!
