The Shreveport Mudbugs (14-7) played a solid road game and beat the Corpus Christi Ice Rays, 3-1 Friday night at the American Bank Center.
Bugs opened up the scoring late in the 1st period when Billy Feczko found Sam Miller with open ice in the slot and #41 knew what to do with it as he ripped home his team-leading seventh goal of the year. Shreveport extended their lead in the second period with great work down low from Brent Keefer and Billy Feczko which helped set up a juicy rebound for Jacob Smith slam in for his fifth goal of the season. Smith's goal came at 6:41 from Keefer and Feczko making it a 2-0 contest. Corpus Christi would respond with a goal at 16:52 from Erik Bargholtz making it a 2-1 game.
