
Buffalo Jr. Bandits Return to Jr. NLL Tournament

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Bandits today announced the organization will enter three youth lacrosse teams into the Sixth Annual Jr. NLL Tournament, which runs from Aug. 23 to 25 at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville, Ontario.
All three teams will participate in the NLL-sponsored tournament, which will be played using NLL rules. The teams will be coached by Bandits players Josh Byrne, Chris Cloutier, Shawn Evans, Ian MacKay, Ethan O'Connor and Dhane Smith. Age groups for the three teams are below:
Pee Wee (born in 2007 or 2008)
Bantam (born in 2005 or 2006)
Midget (born in 2003 or 2004)
The tryout sessions for each age group will be held at Buffalo Riverworks, located at 359 Ganson St., Buffalo, NY 14203. Tryout schedules are as follows:
- Pee Wee - June 3 and 10 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
- Bantam - June 3 and 10 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
- Midget - June 3 and 10 from 8:30 to 10 p.m.
The tryout fee is $39 per player, but will be waived for any player who participated in the Jr. Bandits Lacrosse League or was on the Jr. Bandits last summer. Each player that tries out for a team will receive a Bandits practice pinnie, a 2018-19 Bandits yearbook, team photo and an autographed photo of a Bandits player.
Each player that makes a team will be required to pay a team fee of $575 to cover the cost of the Jr. NLL Tournament on Aug. 23 and 24 as well as a second tournament that will be played on Aug. 17 and 18. Practice time is also covered by the team fee. Practices will be held each Monday at Buffalo Riverworks.
Players who make the three teams will be equipped with a personalized Jr. Bandits uniform, Warrior Evo Jr. Bandits gloves, a New Balance warm up shirt, New Balance warm-up shorts, a Warrior Jr. Bandits gear bag, a commemorative Jr. NLL helmet sticker and two adult T-shirts for their parents or guardians. Players will also have the option to buy Warrior/New Balance gear at a discounted price, including helmets and sneakers. In addition, all team members will receive discounts to select 2019-20 Bandits youth lacrosse programming.
