September 5, 2002 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Laredo Bucks News Release

(9/05/02) The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League have signed right wing David Myson to a contract for the 2002-2003 hockey season. Myson is the ninth player signed by the Bucks for the upcoming season. The Bucks are permitted to bring up to 30 players to Laredo for training camp in October. The Opening Night roster will consist of 18 players.

David Myson played four years of college hockey at the University of Alberta in western Canada after a stellar junior career with Lloydminster of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. In 63 career games at the University of Alberta, Myson posted 15 goals, 13 assists and 28 penalty minutes.

"Myson is the type of player who works hard all the time," says Ruskowski. "He drives to the net and works hard in the corners. He is an aggressive player who can also put the puck in the net."

Prior to his four years of university hockey, Myson enjoyed an award-winning career with the Lloydminster Blazers. In 1997-98, he was named Most Dedicated Player in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. He was also named the Blazers' Most Dedicated Player in 1996-97 and 1997-98.

"We've pleased to have some terrific young players coming to Laredo," adds Ruskowski. "Soon we'll be adding some proven veterans to give us a nice mix. When you have the right mix, that's what you need to be successful."

Bucks season opens October 17 in Corpus Christi. The first Bucks home game at the Laredo Entertainment Center is Friday, November 1. Bucks season tickets are currently on sale. For ticket information, call (956) 718-BUCKS or visit www.laredobucks.com.
