LAREDO, Texas - The 2005 Southern Conference Champion Laredo Bucks continue to be involved in the local community. Today Bucks head coach Terry Ruskowski spoke to students at United Middle School and on Tuesday the Bucks participated in the Webb County Bar Association Bowl-A-Thon at Jett Bowl. Ruskowski spoke to a group of about 100 students, emphasizing overcoming obstacles and making the right choices.
In the Webb County Bar Association Bowl-A-Thon two teams participated for the Bucks including players Jeff Bes and Serge Dube. The Bucks teams, the Ballers and Buckin Bowlers were divided into male and female squads.
Bucks employee Cindy Cisneros captured the award for most gutter balls by a female bowler while Mary Koch recorded the second highest score by a female bowler at 524 combined pins.
"We all had a lot fun participating as a staff," Cisneros said. "It was great to represent the organization and it was a real team building experience."
The 2005-06 CHL regular season schedule will be released in July. Training camp for the Bucks will open the second week of October. The regular season is set to start on October 21st.

The Laredo Bucks are having an online jersey auction on www.laredobucks.com.The Bucks are auctioning off their official game worn blue jerseys. The back of the jersey is autographed by the Bucks player who wore it. Jerseys were produced by OT Sports and they feature the 2005 CHL Playoff patch. The online jersey auction runs thru July 4th.
