
Bucks Recall Damir Markota From D-League

MILWAUKEE, Minn., Feb. 7, 2007 - The Milwaukee Bucks have recalled forward Damir Markota from the NBA Development League, General Manager Larry Harris announced today. Markota was originally assigned to Milwaukee's D-League affiliate, the Tulsa 66ers, on Thursday, February 1. He appeared in one game with the 66ers, posting three points, eight rebounds and one assist in just over 16 minutes of play against the Idaho Stampede on February 6. In 20 games with the Bucks this season, Markota is averaging 1.4 points and 3.8 minutes per game. The 21-year-old forward is expected to join Milwaukee in Oklahoma City on Thursday night as the Bucks take on the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets (7:00 p.m. CT). In addition to the Tulsa 66ers (Okla.), the NBA Development League includes the Albuquerque Thunderbirds (N.M.), Anaheim Arsenal (CA), Arkansas RimRockers (Little Rock), Austin Toros (TX), Bakersfield Jam (CA), Colorado 14ers (Broomfield), Dakota Wizards (Bismarck, N.D.), Fort Worth Flyers (TX), Idaho Stampede (Boise), Los Angeles D-Fenders (CA) and Sioux Falls Skyforce (S.D.).
