The Bucks begin their first three-in-three of the season on Friday, as they look to snap their brief one-game losing streak.

Laredo came out of opening weekend with a 1-1 mark, blowing out Rocky Mountain in the opener 7-1, but falling the next night 2-1 to Bossier-Shreveport.

The Bucks held a 1-0 lead mid-way through the second period against the Mudbugs, when they got into penalty trouble, and would give up the lead in just 1:37.

Laredo gave up two five-on-three power-play goals in that 1:37, and could not recover.

In their first two games the Bucks have had plenty of chances to be on special teams. Laredo is 3-15 on the power-play thus far (0-5 against Bossier), while killing off 16 of 18 penalties against them.

The Bucks are led in scoring by two players, one a Veteran, and one a rookie. Jason Dixon and Jeff Bes each have four points for the Bucks, with Dixon scoring two goals, and handing out two assists, while Bes had four helpers in Friday's 7-1 win over the Rage.

Laredo has three players that have tallied three points so far, with Darryl Smith (3-0=3), Alex Goupil (1-2=3), and Bobby Russell (1-2=3) each coming up with multi-point games.

With the Bucks playing three straight games this weekend, both goaltenders should see time in net. The rotation has not been announced, but Sebastien Centomo is slated to play in two games, while rookie Ryan Gibb is scheduled to make his professional debut one of of the games this weekend.

Steve Weidlich is scheduled to be back on the ice for the Bucks Friday, as he sat out the team's first two games with a minor injury.

The Killer Bees were impressive in their 7-2 season opening win over Rocky Mountain last Saturday. Seven different players had multi-point games for Rio, with Daryl Moore (2-1=3) and Rob Voltera (1-2=3) each putting up three points in the win.

Rio has a three-headed monster in net, with Mike Gorman, Wylie Rogers, and Christian Boucher all on the roster. Both Rogers and Boucher played in the season opener, while Gorman was scratched to give him more time to rest.

Laredo's busy weekend continues on Saturday, when the Bucks will play in Corpus Christi, before hosting Rapid City on Sunday at the LEC in a 4pm game. Group tickets start at just $10. Come check out the new "ONE BUCK DOLLAR MENU", with five concession stand items costing just one dollar. Call 718-BUCK (2825) to order your tickets.

*Bucky's Birthday On Sunday*

The Bucks will celebrate their mascot Bucky's seventh birthday during Sunday's game against the Rapid City Rush. Bucky was born on October 26, 2002, and has seen his favorite hockey team win two CHL Championships.

Come celebrate Bucky's seventh birthday on Sunday at the LEC!
