
Bucks Hold on for 4-3 Win Over Sundogs

LAREDO, TX - Torrie Jung's last stand in net for the Laredo Bucks in the game's final seconds closed the door on a 4-3 loss for the Arizona Sundogs on Sunday afternoon at Laredo Energy. It was the final regular season meeting between the two clubs.
Luke Erickson's third period goal from the slot at 6:35 pulled Arizona within one. Laredo's Matt Hanson scored the game-winner on the power play in the third period's opening minutes.
Kevin Petovello tied the game at 2-2 for Arizona just 1:55 into the second when Jung misplayed the puck and left a wide open net. Justin Styffe put the Bucks back in front with 9:56 remaining on a wrist shot from the slot.
Colin McIntosh and Adam Rivet each scored for Laredo, while Craig Macdonald added Arizona's first goal in period one.
Scott Bowles made his pro debut for Arizona in net and took the loss, stopping 26 shots. Jung finished with 37 saves and the win for Laredo.
The Sundogs went 0-for-1 on the power play. Laredo finished 1-for-5.
The Sundogs continue their final road trip of the season on Friday when they visit the Tulsa Oilers. Game time is set for 5:05 PM and the action can be heard live on Cattle Country 94.3 FM.
