Bucks Fans Set Blood Donation Record

LAREDO, Texas - The defending 2005-06 CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks announced today that the third annual Give Blood Play Hockey Blood Drive collected donations in record setting numbers this past Saturday. In all 232 pints of blood were collected, eclipsing last February's total of 222. The donations benefited the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center. The Bucks are home on Friday night against the Austin Ice Bats at 7:30 p.m. It's Country Night sponsored by the Texas Lottery. The first 2,250 fans have a chance to win a Texas Lottery scratch off ticket. Fans can take advantage of the Family Four Pack, featuring four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for just $48. The Bucks are offering a family four pack of season tickets for the 2006-07 CHL regular season, which works out to just over $7 a seat per game and is a 48 % savings off walkup prices. Each individual blood donation has the capability of saving up to three lives.

"Bucks fans showed how terrific they are with this record setting donation," said Bucks President John Beckelhymer. "We were thrilled by the response of Bucks fans and very happy that the Bucks organization could work with the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center to help save so many lives."

The second Give Blood Play Hockey Blood Drive will take place on February 14, 2007 when the Bucks take on the Corpus Christi at the LEC.

Fans who donated blood on Saturday received a voucher good for two tickets to the Bucks game this Sunday. In addition they received a mini physical, Bucks Blood Drive t-shirt and were entered into a drawing to win great prizes from Lack's Furniture, Circuit City, Harley Davidson, the LEC and the Laredo Bucks.

2006-07 BUCKS SINGLE GAME TICKETS ON SALE

- Single game tickets for the Bucks start at $14.95. Of the 32 home games, 25 will take place on either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Game times will remain the same for the 2006-07 season. Weekday games begin at 7 p.m., while Friday and Saturday night games are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday games will be at 4 p.m.
