Laredo Bucks News Release
LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will have another busy weekend, as they play on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the second weekend in a row.
The Bucks will play the first two games of the weekend on the road, starting Friday in North Richland Hills to take on the re-vamped Texas Brahmas at 7:05pm, before heading to Corpus Christi for a Saturday night battle with the Rayz at 8:05. Laredo will then host Arizona in a big game on Sunday afternoon at 4pm.
Starting this Sunday the Bucks announce that during the month of December during home games at the LEC fans can buy one soda, and get a free hot dog courtesy of Westwind Homes.
On Friday the CHL-leading Bucks, 16-4-1 for 33 points, will play at the NYTEX Sports Centre for the first time ever against the Brahmas (11-5, 22pts). It will be the first meeting between the two teams since February 10th, 2006 when the Bucks beat the then Fort Worth Brahmas on the road 4-1. Laredo leads the all-time regular season series with Texas 11-1-1.
Saturday night the Bucks will play at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, looking to avenge the 3-2 loss at home last Saturday to the Rayz. Corpus scored three third period goals to stun the Bucks. It will be Laredo's second game in Corpus this season, as Dustin Traylen shutout the Rayz 2-0 on October 28th at the ABC. The Bucks lead the all-time regular season series with the Rayz 49-16-2 (3-1 this season).
Laredo will return home for a big conference game against Southwest Division power Arizona (13-4-1, 27pts) at 4pm. The Bucks currently have a six-point lead on the Sundogs in the overall Conference standings. Laredo and Arizona will meet four times this season, two at the LEC, and two at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, AZ. The Bucks lead the all-time series over the Sundogs 2-1.
Family four pack tickets are available starting at $48 by calling 718-BUCK (2825).
