2008-09: Bucks 1-0-1 vs. Rage
Laredo looks to snap a couple of daunting streaks Sunday afternoon at the Broomfield Event Center. The Bucks enter the contest with the Rage winless in their last three games (all on the road), going 0-2-1, and are winless in their last five road games, going 0-3-2. Laredo has not won on the road since December 6, when they beat Texas 2-1 in a shootout.
Despite their recent slide, the Bucks enter today's game on top of the Southeast Division by one point over Texas (38 to 37), with a chance to increase their lead to three points with a win over the Rage.
Last night the Bucks fell to the Rage 3-2 in a shootout, with Brent Cullaton picking up the game-winning goal against his former team.
Jeff Bes comes into today's game third in the CHL in scoring with 44 points (10-34=44). Bes is six points shy of 500 in his Bucks career.
Darryl Smith still leads all rookies in scoring with 38 points (19-19=38).
With their win over the Bucks last night the Rage are now 7-4 in the month of December, and have won four out of their last five.
The Bucks will return home to host their 7th annual New Year's Eve Bash on December 31st when they host the Killer Bees. After the game the Bucks will hold the fireworks celebration inside the LEC for the first time ever! You can get four tickets for $40, by calling 718-BUCK (2825).
