Laredo Bucks News Release
LAREDO, Texas â Three more players reported to the Laredo Bucks as training camp moved into its second day along the border. Forwards Jason Spence and Patrik Nilson along with goaltender Marco Emond arrived from the AHL San Antonio Rampage camp and joined the Bucks.
The additions bring the total to 24 players currently in camp with the Bucks. Emond lead the United Hockey League last season with 33 regular season wins.
"When I heard about Marco, I checked his stats and where he had been the last couple of years and was very interested," said Bucks head coach Terry Ruskowski. "Plus we were able to get him a tryout with the San Antonio and that made the situation work well for both of us."
The 6'1" 210-pound Spence split time last season with the Saint John Flames of the American Hockey League and Johnstown of the former East Coast Hockey League. Nilson, who is 6'0" 180-pounds, played overseas in Sweden.
