Waterloo, IA - The Waterloo Bucks have announced that right-handed pitcher Brian Drapeau has signed to play with the team for the 2015 season. Drapeau (pronounced DRAY-poo), a junior from Long Island University Brooklyn, is the 28th player to be named to Waterloo's roster for the squad's 21st season.

This season for the Blackbirds, Drapeau is 1-5 with a 5.43 ERA. The 6'1", 215-pounder has 46 strikeouts with 27 walks in 68 innings.

"It's an honor to be playing for the Bucks this summer," said Drapeau. "Over the years, Long Island University has had the privilege of placing multiple ball players in Waterloo - and I look forward to carrying on that tradition. Furthermore, I cannot be more excited to contribute to this winning atmosphere, especially in front of our famously loyal fans."

Last season for the Blackbirds, Drapeau started 10 games, leading the pitching staff with 33 strikeouts. A native of Livingston, New Jersey, Drapeau finished with a 3-5 record and 7.87 ERA.

Drapeau transferred to LIU from Howard Community College where he compiled a 2-1 record and a 3.96 ERA. Brian is the son of Brian and Rhonda Drapeau.

The Bucks, the winningest team in all of summer-collegiate baseball over the past two years, will open the 2015 season on the road versus the Alexandria Blue Anchors on May 26, but return to Waterloo for their home opener versus the Mankato MoonDogs on May 28.
