
Bucks Acquire Miller From Rush

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League announced Monday that they have acquired forward Matt Miller from the Rapid City Rush, in exchange for rookie forward Joey Olson. Miller is expected to join the Bucks when they arrive in Colorado later this week.
The 6'0'', 195 pound Miller, who is in his fourth professional season, played in 11 games for the EIHL's Basingstoke Bison, where he put up 11 points (9-2=11), before playing in 13 games for Rapid City (0-3=3).
"I've been trying to get Matt Miller for a while now", said Bucks President/General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. "He has been a solid player wherever he has been, we think he will play a big role on our team".
The Sioux Lookout, Ontario native spent two seasons in Amarillo from 2006-2008, where he put up 73 points (36-37=73) in 113 games with the Gorillas.
Miller had his best offensive season last year with the Gorillas, where he scored 20 goals, with 25 assists for 45 points.
Miller spent his rookie season in 2005-06 with the Roanoke Valley Vipers (UHL), where he picked up 18 points in 59 games.
The Bucks send Olson to the Rush, after he put up five points (2-3=5) in 20 games this season. Olson had a minus-six rating.
The Bucks start a four-game road trip Monday night in Rio Grande Valley, before heading west to take on the Colorado Eagles and the Rocky Mountain Rage this weekend.
The Bucks will return home to host their 7th annual New Year's Eve Bash on December 31st when they host the Killer Bees. After the game the Bucks will hold the fireworks celebration inside the LEC for the first time ever! You can get four tickets for $40, by calling 718-BUCK (2825).
*Bucks To Deliver Toys Tuesday*
The Bucks will deliver toy to the children at Doctors Hospital on Tuesday at 1:30pm. The toys were collected during the annual toy drive at the LEC on December 5th. A total of 282 toys were collected that night, and will be distributed Tuesday.

*Open Skating At LEC This Week*
The Laredo Entertainment Center will host three days of open community skating during the holiday's. "Winter Wonderland" will be open to the public on Monday December 22 from 12pm-6pm, Monday December 29, and Tuesday December 30 from 1-7pm.
Everyone is welcome, and the cost is $5 an hour, which includes skate rental. The LEC will open some Concession areas during the skating.
