Bucks & Starbucks Toy Drive Big Success

LAREDO, Texas – The Laredo Bucks, in conjunction with Starbucks, held a toy drive this past weekend at the Laredo Entertainment Center. More than 900 toys were collected for the children at Doctors Hospital. "We got a wonderful response from the Laredo community and Bucks fans for this toy drive," Bucks Community Relations Director Nicole Thompson said. "With the help of Starbucks we achieved more than we ever hoped. We are so thankful to have such supportive fans. Their donations are going to make so many children's holidays special this year."

Starbucks manager George Colmo will also help distribute the gifts on Thursday. Each fan who donated a new gift wrapped toy received a raffle ticket. Starbucks gave away a Barista Espresso Maker that was valued at more than $500. The Bucks donated autographed jerseys, family four packs of tickets and other prizes.
