
Bruins win in overtime

Austin Bruins News Release
The Austin Bruins played game two of the Central Division Championship series this Saturday night. The Black and Yellow came out strong in the first couple of minutes of play. Bismarck's Buster Hebda was able to give the home team a 1-0 lead as he blasted one in from the top of the circle. Austin was able to answer back with a monumental goal from Brandon Wahlin the assist went to Matt Hansen. At the end of two periods of play the score was tied at one as Austin outshot Bismarck 12-5. The second period Austin was able to tie the game up a with another Brandon Wahlin goal assisting was Jeremy Finger. The Bobcats were able to counter to take a 3-2 lead. Brandon Wahlin swarmed the net, scored and completed the hat trick. At the end of two periods of play the score was tied at three, the Bruins outshot Bismarck 23-18. The third frame the Bruins continued to battle all over the ice sheet. Both teams could not score in the third period as the game went to overtime. In the overtime period Joe the catalyst Siers went top cheddar to give the Bruins the win in overtime. Austin will be back at Riverside Arena next Friday night for game three.
