
Bruins to Host Thanksgiving Food Drive for Salvation Army

The Austin Bruins will host a Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Salvation Army of Austin, during Friday's home game against the Minnesota Magicians
Fans who bring five or more non-perishable items will receive a free bag of chuck-a-pucks. The Bruins work with the Salvation Army regularly, ringing bells at Wal-Mart last year, and donating over 500 stuffed animals and toys during last season's Teddy Bear Toss. This season's Teddy Bear Toss will take place on Saturday, December 3rd and is sponsored by Power 96.
The Bruins recently donated $1000 to VFW post 1216 on Military Appreciation Night this past Saturday, November 12th, and raised money for the Austin Bruins Foundation through a postgame jersey auction.
