Bruins pick up victory 4-2

The Bruins continued play this weekend as they battled the Alexandria Blizzard. The opening period the Bruins had multiple scoring opportunities. Chris Fischer dangles his way into the Blizzard end and hooked up John Simonson making it a 1-0 Bruins lead. After one period of play the Bruins led 1-0 despite being outshot 12-8. The second period the Bruins continue to create offensively. The Bruins made it 2-0 when John Simonson scored his second goal of the season assists went to Chris Fischer and Brandon Wahlin. The Bruins took a 3-0 lead when Christian Folin went coast to coast and scored an unassisted goal. The final period the Blizzard found their way onto the scoreboard as Derek Sand found the twine. After the Blizzard goal, a fight broke out at center ice as Jeremy Finger and Rodney Lalonde spared, as Finger added another win to his resume. The Blizzard added their second goal with an extra attacker. John Kirby scored with an empty net Connor Quinn and Jon Gehrt had assists. The Bruins picked up the victory 4-2. Next weekend the Bruins will play at Riverside Arena Friday and Saturday night as they will face off against the expansion Minotauros.
