Austin Bruins News Release
The Austin Bruins wrapped up the 2011 portion of the season this Saturday night at Riverside Arena against the Coulee Region Chill. Austin Nelson pumped in the first tally of the night for the Bruins. At the first intermission the Bruins led 1-0. The second frame Austin took a 2-0 lead as John Kirby jammed in his 12th goal of the season assisting was Charlie Adams. The Chill answered back on an odd man rush making it a one goal game. But the Bruins were not finished John Kirby scored his second of the night on the power play assisting was Charlie Adams and Trevor Waldoch. Austin Nelson scored his second goal of the evening Mike Bond and Matt Hansen had assists. The Bruins led 4-1 after two periods of play. The final frame the Chill scored their second of the game. Charlie Adams added an empty netter late in the period. The Bruins played a great third period in packed house with 1674 screaming fans. The Bruins finish 2011 with a bang and a 5-2 victory.
