Bruins and Rockets Ride into the New Year

December 20, 2007 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Chilliwack Bruins News Release

Chilliwack BC - The Chilliwack Bruins are looking forward to New Year's Eve, when they return home for a BC Division tilt against the rival Kelowna Rockets. So far this season, the Rockets have had the slight edge against Chilliwack, posting 2 wins in against the Bruins, a 3-2 OT win in Kelowna, followed by a 4-3 Rocket victory in Bear Country back in early November. The Bruins grabbed a victory of their own against the Rockets, posting an impressive 3-1 win over the red-hot Rockets back on December 2nd.

This game will only serve to heat up this rivalry, as after the New Year's Eve match up, these two clubs will battle an additional six more times down the stretch. As both teams enter the second half of the season, the Bruins and Rockets both know that a decisive victory by either club may go a long way to determining who may get the upper hand in this series and better their Western Conference seeding heading towards the playoffs.

The Bruins will drop the puck on this big game at 7 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, at the Prospera Centre box office and online at chilliwackbruins.com.

We would like to wish all of our Bruins faithful: fans, sponsors, billets and parents, a heartfelt Happy New Year!
