
Brown, Tucker Named Batter and Pitcher of the Week

DURHAM, NC - The official statistician of the Can-Am League, PA-Sportsticker, has selected Sussex Skyhawks INF Chris Brown and New Jersey Jackals LHP Rusty Tucker as the Teamline Direct Batter and Pitcher of the Week.
Brown batted .429 this past week with two home runs and 13 RBI. He banged out nine hits, including two doubles, scored four times and had a slugging percentage of .810. In Sunday's 11-3 win over the American Defenders of New Hampshire, Brown went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double, two runs scored and four RBI. The Miramar, FL resident is currently hitting .299 with five home runs, 37 RBI and 52 hits.
This is the second Pitcher of the Week award for Tucker this season. The Phoenix, AZ resident collected three saves in three relief appearances and gave up one hit with four strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings pitched. On the season, Tucker is 2-0 with a 0.95 ERA and a league leading 17 saves.
