Brown Bears Lose on 5 Third Period Goals at Ice Dogs

The Brown Bears came out strong in the second game at Fairbanks, but couldn't hold on in the third period. The Bears had opportunities in the first and converted on two of them from: Joey Kaszupski (Jackstadt, Chavez) and Jack Gessert ( Andrews, Campbell). After those two goals the Ice Dogs responded with the next three including two in the second period. The Bears answered in the third however with two more goals from: Alex Jackstadt (Nickels, Rudin) and Maurin Bouvet (Gessert, Butcher). The third period saw one goal from Joey Kaszupski (Jackstadt, Bouvet) but Fairbanks potted five in the third and took the second game 8-5.

The Brown Bears return home for games Friday and Saturday at the Soldotna Sport Center. Puck drop at 7:30 PM AKST.
