Brooklyn announces name

February 25, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Brooklyn Comets News Release

New York, NY. GoIP Global, Inc. (GOGB.PK) today announced it has named its new American Basketball Association team, the "Brooklyn Wonders." The Brooklyn Wonders will begin playing in the November 2006 season. Ron Eford, former Marquette University team captain, and an eight-year European pro-player has signed as the GM of the team. A venue and coach will be announced shortly.

Ron Eford commented, "I am very pleased to accept this position as GM of the Brooklyn Wonders and I look forward to bringing the Brooklyn fans competitive games within a family atmosphere."

Joe Newman, ABA CEO added, "We are extremely pleased to have the Brooklyn Wonders as part of the ABA. We really think that the citizens of Brooklyn will take to the team with its uptempo style of play, its fan-friendly approach, and affordable prices. Actually, we never understood why the Brooklyn Dodgers left Brooklyn; their fans were legend - loyal and dedicated. While we can't replace the "Bums," we can certainly create a new era in professional sports in this great New York borough. (And I used to live in Brooklyn)."

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
