Comets announce schedule changes
February 23, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Brooklyn Comets News Release
The Comets are announcing that this Saturday's Home Game versus the Rochester Razorsharks has been cancelled. In addition, the March 9th Home game versus Rochester has also been cancelled. We apologize for this inconvenience but the situation is beyond our control. Rochester is refusing to travel to Brooklyn to play the scheduled games. The franchise is talking with the ABA about being awarded forfeited wins due to Rochester's refusal to play. As a result, the Comets will finish the Regular Season on the road with three games:
Wednesday, February 28th @ Newark (7:05)
Saturday, March 3rd @ Cape Cod (7:05)
Saturday, March 10th @ Strong Island (7:05)
We thank you for your understanding and press on with our quest to make the ABA Playoffs!
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
