Brooklyn 2005 expansion team moves to Queens

Queens, NY. Sherman Givens, co-Owner of the recently announced Brooklyn ABA 2005 expansion team today announced that the team will play in Queens, NY instead. According to Givens, "After giving it a lot of thought, and in looking at the playing venues as well as the new Long Island team, we felt that it would work better for us and the fans to be in Queens - and we are very excited. In fact, we've already begun putting our operations in place following the League Meeting in Indianapolis recently. We're ready and raring to go."

Givens graduated from Brooklyn's Transit Technical High School in 1982 and still holds sthe record for all-time leading scorer and most points in a quarter with 23. He averaged 28 points per game before attending Pace University and Nyack College. He has over 25 years of coaching experienc including serving as an Asst Coach at Borough of Manhattan Community College. Most recently, he was GM/Head Coach of the Brooklyn Blaze in the EBL.
