ABA joins with Toyota Scion season-ending promotion

February 4, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. Joe Newman, ABA CEO, today announced that the league has joined with Toyota, makers of the Scion automobiles, for fans to participate in free throw shooting contests through the remainder of the season for a chance to win Scion gift packages. Called SHOT CALLIN', the free throw shooting contests will begin at the ABA All Star Game and continue right through the ABA playoffs in March. Fans will have an opportunity to win Scion gift packages that include a Scion B-ball jersey and backback as well as Scion visors.

According to Newman, "Scion is known throughout the industry as being on the cutting edge of marketing. They've seen this relationship with the ABA as a way to bring attention to their exciting new Scion models as well as a way to add additional attention to our league. We are very excited about working with Scion as it will add a new dimension to our games. It should be a fun promotion."
